In the aftermath of the election of 2016 – an election that was defined by a struggle between a disorganized populist wave and the political and economic establishment -, the progressive movement of America was left wondering “what next?” During that presidential campaign, the nation saw a brief debate on the issues before the nominating conventions of each major political party. What this organization (established in January 2017) is designed to do is to force a debate on the issues at every level of government and to compel – in the spirit of progressivism’s roots – a host of electoral and political reforms which are desperately needed to ascertain that our government will work on behalf of everyone…not just a handful of the nation’s wealthiest citizens.
